Our services are currently in Read-Only Mode due to an active, critical data migration process. This means data submissions, updates, and modifications are temporarily unavailable, though you can still view and read all existing content and static pages. We are working to restore full functionality and will update you immediately upon completion.
BioModels is a repository of mathematical models of biological and biomedical systems. It hosts a vast selection of existing literature-based physiologically and pharmaceutically relevant mechanistic models in standard formats. Our mission is to provide the systems modelling community with reproducible, high-quality, freely-accessible models published in the scientific literature. More information about using BioModels such as model submission, update, publication, or reviewers access can be found in the FAQ.

We performed a comparative benchmark study and investigated a set of 16 mathematical cardiac AP models, including a newly developed minimalistic model specifically tailored to the AP of rabbit Purkinje cells, for their ability to replace the rabbit Purkinje fibre assay. We quantified each model’s ability to reproduce experimental findings by their percentage of generating simulations which match experimental data best...
